    A DIY to Remove Skin Tan Especially During Summer’s ! | Home Remedies | Skin Care

    Exposure to sun will not only lead to skin burn but it also leads to tanning of the skin. Summer being the vacation time for many, it leads children & adults alike to spend more time exposed to relentless rays of sun. This usually leads to skin tan or at worse getting sun burn – both of which are not pleasing options.

    The safe bet is to stay within home during peak summers but Skin tan is bound to occur sooner than later, moreover you cannot stay indoors forever. Sooner or later you will find yourself going out . Sun screen lotions/creams are your friend but constant application of sun screen is not feasible if you are a office goer or out in public spaces. Salon’s and beauty treatments are expensive!

    In such circumstance, few common, inexpensive ingredients from your home comes as your savior. They not only offer remedies against tanning, they also help in treatment of sun burn.

    • Lemon Honey & Sugar Face Scrub

    • Gramflour & Lemon Face Pack
    • Curd & Honey Face Pack
    • Aloe Vera Gel for Sun Burn

    Lemon Honey & Sugar Face Scrub

    Squeeze fresh lemon juice (half a lemon). Add honey (1 tsp -1.5 tsp) to the juice. Add sugar (1 spoon). Mix well. Apply to your face and neck . Leave for 30 mins.

    Rinse it off with cool water.

    For Oily Skin : Do not keep this scrub beyond 30 mins.

    Turmeric – Honey face wash

    Mix together turmeric powder, honey and milk until a smooth paste is formed.

    Apply this paste on to your face, neck. Wait for it to dry (approx 20-30 mins)

    scrub it away. Wash your face in cool water.

    Spray rose water on your skin.

    Oats & Buttermilk for Skin Tan

    Take 2-3 spoons of oats or oatmeal in a bowl.

    Soak them in half a cup of water for about 5 minutes or until it softens completely.

    Add 1-2 spoon of buttermilk to the paste.

    Mix well and apply on face and neck in circular motion. leave it to dry for about 20 -30 minutes.

    Wash off in plain, clean water.

    Humble Tomato Juice for Glowing Skin

    All you have to do is, crush the tomato. Take out the juice & apply it on exposed areas.

    Leave it to dry. Wash off in clean water.

    Multani Mitti (Fuller’s Earth) & Rose Water pack for Skin Tan.

    Add rose water to multani mitti to form a paste. Apply it on your skin. Allow it to dry. Wash off with water or cleanser.

    This pack soothes your skin and also helps in de-tanning of your skin.

    Gramflour & Lemon Face Pack

    Take a bowl. Add 3-4 tablespoon of gram flour, 2 spoon of lemon juice and a pinch of turmeric. Mix it to form a paste. Add water if the paste is too thick.

    Apply it on face. Allow to dry for 15-30 minutes.

    Wash off in lukewarm water.

    Curd & Honey Face Pack

    Add 1 table spoon of Honey to 2 table spoon of fresh curd. Mix them well.

    Gently apply a thick layer over your skin.

    Leave the pack for 15 minutes or 30 minutes maximum.

    Rinse it off in lukewarm water.

    Aloe Vera Gel for Sun Burn

    Extract the gel from Aloe vera plant or buy Aloe Vera Gel . Apply it directly on affected skin.

    Leave it to dry or leave it overnight.

    Wash it off in the morning.

    Aloe Vera gel not only heals your sun burn but it also greatly reduces the tanning.

    Use this above mentioned remedies and see how you continue to possess a glowing and radiant skin through summer!
